YNAB budgeting course for therapists in Private Practice
Founding cohort. Nine live sessions. Five spots. Applications close Friday, October 16, 2026.
A working practice budget in YNAB by the end.
The Course
What is YNAB for therapists in Private Practice?
YNAB for therapists in private practice is a nine-week YNAB budgeting course for therapists in private practice. You set up a practice (business) budget in YNAB (You Need A Budget) that handles insurance reimbursement lag, irregular deposits, taxes, and owner pay. Then you use it to make spending, pay, and growth decisions. The founding cohort is live and capped at five practices.
Build as you go. Your budget is running before the course ends.

This course is for therapists who budget off the bank balance
Who it is forYour practice brings in money every month. You decide what it can spend by checking the account and hoping the math works. That is a guess, not a system.
This course fits if:
You have no formal budgeting system for your practice.
You have never used YNAB, or you tried it and could not set it up for a business.
Your income changes month to month and planning ahead feels impossible.
You are not sure how much you collect versus how much you bill.
It works for insurance-based and private pay practices, including sliding scale. It works for solo practices and group practice owners, with a separate category template for each.
This is not bookkeeping or tax preparation. It is a budgeting system you run yourself. If you already run your practice in YNAB, The Back Office monthly group consultation calls may be a better fit. You can still apply for an opportunity to build on the YNAB skills you already have.
